Ok.......... What the hell happened to our summer?
Call it whatever you want. Global warming, God's will, or just the wrath of Mother Nature. Some force is definitely at work. Remember the yester years when this time of year you were beginning your school shopping? Making sure you got your game tight for the new school year? Waiting to buy school supplies last because that meant it was real? Summer was truly over then.
Now here we are August 13, 2008. Already carrying jackets in our bags, doing the mid-afternoon wardrobe changes to accommodate the declining temperature once the sun goes down. All things very much associated with the Fall. Summers past now reminded with nostalgia not for the familiar ring of the bell from the ice cream truck, but for it just being so damn hottah. I don't know what we gotta do. What I do know is........
I WANT MY SUMMER BACK!!!!!!
I'm done for now
so one for now
Possibly forever
we had fun together
but like all good things we must come to and end
