Yo! My President is Black.

It’s been a week since history has been made in this country! We finally opened our eyes and realized that we needed a change. But, it’s unfortunate we damn near hit rock bottom before coming to our senses. After centuries of existence, we finally elected the 1st Black president to lead the USA. This is MAJOR! It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. The question is: can we handle it? We’ve got our backs against the wall- an extremely vulnerable position to be in, unless we can unite [just like we did on Tuesday Nov. 4th 2008, the historical Election Day that will always be remembered] for the next four years and defend the man we elected into office. Although he’s not officially our forefront man as of yet- at least not until his Inauguration in Jan. ’09, he continuously promised that he would deliver change for this nation. Just like his predecessors, the men who once led this country, President-elect Obama is obviously capable of enduring the task ahead of him, despite the many obstacles that will arise. Only time can tell how much progress we’re actually making as a country, but presently, you have to be blind to overlook how great of an influence this distinguished gentleman has had on humanity on a global scale. He has affected so many people in and outside of the United States; it’s incredible to even fathom the extent of his reach. He has found a way to empathize and address the people of America, without being condescending or giving the impression of being too superior in intellect or character. He has proven- time and time again; he’s a normal American citizen that has the innate ability to evoke a sense of hope into a despondent nation that hasn’t felt this way about their country in ages. Can he do it successfully? I have total faith in him and the records clearly illustrate the majority does as well. Is it going to be a grueling task? Of course it is. Nothing that comes easy in life is worth it. Unconditional support, however, is what Barack Obama really needs during his reign as the 44th President of the United States. C’mon folks! We, as a nation, gave former President Bush eight entire years [in my opinion, two undeserved & doubtful terms] to try his hand at presidency and now we’re at the bottom of the barrel. It’s only fair we give Obama an equal chance to level the playing field. We owe it to ourselves! If you can’t do it for yourself, then do it for the precious woman that gave birth to you. That’s right, OBAMA FOR YA MAMA!!!
