What's Goin' On?

The much anticipated 2008 Democratic National Convention was the talk of every town in America this week. You would think that Michelle Obama's speech would have stolen the show, but not before Democratic icon, Ted Kennedy secretly graced the convention. Kennedy, who is currently battling brain cancer, courageously went against his physician's orders in an effort to extend his support for the Obama family & the Democratic campaign... Michelle Obama's heartfelt tribute to her husband, Barack Obama, was a true testimony of hope for America simply emphasizing Barack's values, worldly concerns, and persistent attitude that will take him all the way to the White House. With prolific accounts of why Barack would make the ideal future president, how "normal" their all-American lives are, and most importantly, the level of her patriotism-- we can all remain hopeful and witness if America is equally convinced he's just a regular guy!... But don't talk too soon because where there's potential success, there's always a hater lurking in the distance. Just like the four, not so intelligent suspects, who were arrested earlier this week for allegedly attempting to assassinate Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech. The suspects, who have ties to white supremacist groups, were taken in on either drug or weapons charges and are awaiting Federal disciplinary sanctions... Speaking of disciplinary sanctions, aren't you tired of hearing about police brutality? Well so is Marlon Smith, 35, who has all intentions of filing a $25M suit against the city & the NYPD claiming he was brutally beaten by two female police officers in a road rage attack at White Plains Road & E. 218th Street in the Bronx earlier this month. Officers Koleen Robinson & Michelle Anglins are accused of "clubbing, Macing, and pistol-whipping Smith" says the Daily News. The NYPD have been taking unjust liberty by abusing their badges & it's happening all too frequently. The Police-Civilian brutality has got to stop!
